Hi, we are Lee and Sue(Kyoung-Suk). We have been married for 18 years. I am British and 43 years old and Sue is 42 and originates from Seoul,South Korea, but has lived in England since 2001 and is now a British citizen. We have a cat called Lulu, she is 13 years old and lazy! :)
I work as a self employed property developer and have my own holiday rental business and Sue works as a financial controller for a large company in central London and commutes to work Monday to Friday.
We have been hosting students and guests from around the world since 2003 both privately and through organisations. Some students return after their stay for holidays and keep in touch, which is nice! We only host over 18 year olds and have hosted many students attending Sussex University for long stays.
We welcome guests to talk with us and join us in the garden etc.
Our house is quite large and has 5 bedrooms, all of which have their own private en-suite bathrooms, fridges, microwaves, kettles and large smart tv's. We have a separate sitting room which guests may use to study instead of thier room if they wish and a dining table in our side room next to our garden patio that guests are welcome to sit in and have thier meals if they would prefer.
Wifi is free, but we do charge a fee for laundry(except your bedding). Please enquire if you need your laundry doing.
Other than for washing up purposes or preparing cold food we charge for the use of our kitchen and its appliances. If you want to cook meals during your stay and will require the use of our kitchen for this please enquire for prices.
We have a large front drive that can park several cars. If you have a car you wish to park this should be fine.
Our home is located in Hove, a short walk from Hove Park. There is a small parade of shops just outside our home including an Italian restaurant and a coffee shop.
There is a bus stop just by our house that runs a limited bus service. The bus number 21/21A goes from here to Hove Train station, Brighton Train station, the City Centre & Brighton Marina.
There is a 5B bus stop outside of Waitrose supermarket(10 minute walk for our house) that goes to the City Centre and some services to Sussex University. Please check the Brighton & Hove bus website for bus times and details.

12 minute drive to sussex uni. on A27.
Over 18's only.
The area we live in is right on the edge of the southdowns countryside & Hove Park. It is also not so far from the seaside, just a short bus journey away. Brighton city centre is only a 30 or so minute bus ride away for all of the hustle-bustle of city life, but can take longer during busy times!

I was very nervous to go to study in the UK, but as soon as i met lee and sue i felt so relaxed and welcome, it was such a relief for me. I stayed about 9 months and was so sad when it was time to go back to Korea! I spent lots of time with lee which really helped me to learn english. He took me to meet his friends and let me join any time he went out to play sports. i'm sure i couldn't have stayed with a better host family. If you nervous like me to go to a homestay for the first time i can really recommend you stay with them. They helped me so much and i am truly grateful for everything!

My room was better than a hotel with everything you can think of, a huge tv, super massive and comfy bed(you will really love the bed), my own bathroom and fridge...beautiful garden view...the most adorable kitty cat too!!!!...and then sue & lee...they really take care of their guests....i was so lucky to find this place to stay. Do not hesitate to book here, you will not regret it...trust me, i stayed twice and wouldn't stay anywhere else if i go back to Brighton!...Big,huge thank you to sue & lee for taking care of me!

I didn't expect my host to be as friendly and lovely as lee and sue. My time in their homestay made my trip to england unforgettable. i wish i could have stayed longer.

Wow wow wow...This is the best place to stay in Brighton...no...UK! I love this family so so much. They really took care about me every day. Sue cooked me dinner on my birthday, it was delicious. Lee is very funny and we had lots of fun...even i went on holiday and came back 1 day too early he let me stay even his rooms were full...its the best life experience for me so far. If i come back to UK one day i will definitely stay with them, my second home!
If you want to have really comfortable stay, you should stay here! xxx

We studied at Sussex University and stayed with Lee & Sue almost 3 years! They were our host family, but we became friends! It was really a wonderful experience for us to stay with them during our time in Brighton. Very caring, helpful and friendly. We had a lot of fun times in thier home together and also outside! We keep in touch now and i recommend anyone to stay with this family! I have posted on Japan society for sussex university facebook page for Lee & Sues home. If you stay with them you will have a really great experience in Brighton!

The only inconvenients are that I take 40 minutes on bus to get to the city centre and the price, but Brighton is very expensive so it's normal. I do not regret staying by them, and I was really happy to share my experience in Brighton with them :-)

They were always stopping to talk, asking if I would like to watch a film together and giving me advice on transport or places to go. They were really kind and funny, I miss them and their really gentle, affectionate cats. By the way the bus stop to town or uni is right outside, literally 30 seconds away if that!

and every miniut, the bus will be waiting you just infront of your house toward to cititown. very easy to go out. if you need help, lee and sue will help you specifically. so I definitly recommend you to stay this house^^
