WELCOME:

Looking for an awesome place to live while studying in Vancouver? You've come to the right place. We'd love to host you in our beautiful brand new home.

We're a fun, easy going, friendly family of four (My husband, our 15 year old daughter, 11 year old son and myself). Three out of four of us were born in Vancouver and we only speak English at home. We'd love to interact with you and learn about your culture. We have been hosting since June 2014 and have met so many wonderful people, learned about their cultures and taught them about Canadian culture.

We can host up to 3 **NON SMOKING** female students (18 years old or older). **sorry we cannot host males due to an agreement with our homestay agency**

WHAT WE HAVE TO OFFER:

My husband is a great cook! We offer quality meals....not cheap or frozen microwave meals, and/or we don't feed you separate food like some homestay families! We eat dinner together and take time to interact and speak with our students. We treat you like family. We do not have super strict rules you need to follow, we just ask that we have mutual respect for each.

Our home is smoke and pet free. Our rooms are on the ground level with a large window and are furnished with a twin/single bed, night table, desk and closet for clothes. We offer a home phone with free calls within Canada, free wifi access and laundry once a week. We have satellite TV, netflix, wii and a dvd player.

Convenient location and easy transit. It's a 5 minute walk to Sperling skytrain station or 1 minute walk to the bus that takes you to skytrain or SFU/FIC.

By Transit: 25 min to downtown, 17 min to Simon Fraser University (SFU) or Fraser International College (FIC), 20 min to British Columbia Institute of Technology (BCIT) & 28 min to Douglas College (New Westminster Campus).

There are several malls accessible along the Skytrain/bus Route (Brentwood, Lougheed, Metrotown, Coquitlam Centre & Pacific Centre).

FEES:

$975 per month includes breakfast & dinner with lunch on the weekends. Lunch can be provided on weekdays at an extra cost.

* minimum one month stay (minimum 2 month stay May to Oct) unless otherwise arranged.
* non-full months will be charged $35/day or full month rent, whichever is lesser
* a private washroom may be available for an extra cost (otherwise 2 washrooms would be shared amongst 3 students)
* there are no additional fees: wifi, laundry, utilities are all included.
* cleaning fee may apply if approved to stay less than a month

NOTE: If you are interested in staying with me, please request to book for one week and send me a message telling me how long you plan to stay. The reason i ask you book for one week instead of your full stay is that this homestay website charges you a 15% fee that is not refundable by me should you change your mind and want to cancel. Until you pay the deposit, we cannot communicate as our contact information is filtered.
